Volkswagen has modernized the Saveiro pick-up truck

Small pick-ups are on the verge of extinction in the Czech Republic. Today, you practically can't buy a car of this type new on our market. However, Brazil is a very specific country and similar cars do exceptionally well here.

It is therefore not surprising that the German giant, Volkswagen , pays to produce similarly tuned models only for the local market. One such is the Saveiro , which received a decent modernization for the new model year.

This was mainly influenced by the appearance of the front part , which offers a new front bumper, radiator grille and lights, which optically brought the model closer to the latest models of the brand. The rear part received darkened headlights, but don't expect more changes. The interior was taken over from the base Gol of the new generation . This means new ventilation and air conditioning controls, more valuable materials and better control layouts.

Saveiro continues to be offered in three versions – basic Trend , middle Trooper and top Cross , which is distinguished by plastic protection of mudguards, thresholds or silver plastic front and back. The basic equipment is relatively poor (e.g. electric windows or central locking), so if you are interested in a similar car in the future, go straight for the Trooper variant, which offers ABS, alloy wheels, a driver's airbag and power steering. The highest model will offer air conditioning as well as parking sensors.

However, unlike the other versions, the basic version of the Trend will offer two types of chassis . However, Trooper and Cross playfully overcome this deficit by offering two versions of the body – for two or four people. Under the hood, there is a single unit – a 1.6 Flex four-cylinder gasoline engine with a capacity of 104 hp, which burns gasoline or ethanol and cooperates with a five-speed manual.
