Volkswagen Lavida underwent a facelift

Today, the German car manufacturer Volkswagen presented a facelift of the popular Lavida model at the ongoing auto show in Beijing . That you've never heard of him? This is not surprising, since this handsome sedan produced since 2008 is intended only for the Chinese market.

The Lavida model with a length exceeding 4.6 meters was inspired by the larger Passat , from which it takes, for example, the shape of the front headlights. The radiator grille now includes a pair of chrome strips, and the bumper with integrated fog lights is also new.

Three power units will be hidden under the hood. The basis will be an atmospheric four-cylinder with a displacement of 1.6 liters and a power of 77 kW, which will be accompanied by a two-liter with a power of 88 kW and a modern turbocharged 1.4 TSI with a power of 96 kW, which, like the other engines, will be connected to a manual five-speed gearbox as standard. A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission DGS will be available as an option.

The Lavida model is produced in a joint venture between Volkswagen and SAIC in the factory in Anting , where it has already found 700,000 customers since the start of production.
