The Volkswagen Golf R Cabrio is hitting the world

Although the Volkswagen Golf R Cabrio concept was presented in Wörthersee already last year, spy photos of the production version are only beginning to appear this year.

However, recognizing a test mule is not easy at all. Volkswagen disguised its new Cabrio with a GTI package, so only a true connoisseur will recognize the R version. The only distinguishing feature is the Talladega alloy wheels, which are typical for R versions. Whether with or without GTI camouflage, the R Cabrio will feature an aggressive look, a dual sports exhaust system, a canvas roof and a wealth of equipment.

The drive will continue to be provided by a turbocharged two-liter four-cylinder with an output of 199 kW (270 hp) and 350 Nm of torque. These figures mean that the attractive convertible can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in less than 6 seconds, while the maximum speed will be equal to 250 km/h.
