The seventh generation Golf in the R version has been modified by the German tuning company MTM . Their modifications are intended mainly for customers who cannot wait for the Golf R 400 . But the MTM version only has 265 kW (roughly 360 hp), which the tuners obtained from the basic turbocharged two-liter . The torque has also increased to a value of 450 Nm. The modified version accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, but the maximum speed is still limited to 250 km/h.
To tame more power, the car has new 380mm brakes and 235/35 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires behind the nineteen-inch wheels. The whole car with a complete modification will cost almost 1,100,000 CZK.
