Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles distinguished the design of the Multivan Alltrack concept from work-conceived models with polished 19″ wheels, precisely processed bodywork details painted in a color shade of adular with a pearl effect and a noble modified interior, so that any confusion is excluded. The robust front and rear bumpers , differentiated in gray, contrast together with the integrated protective panels of the lower part of the car in a matte silver shade with a subtly elegant body color, as well as the wheel arches, the side protection strips and the protective strip of the luggage compartment threshold.
The off-road concept has also been consistently transferred to the interior, which is characterized by high-quality and durable materials with a high level of functionality and the robust charm of a well-travelled globetrotter. Finely grafted, grey-blue seats made of the finest natural leather of the brand Poltrona Frau form a counterpoint to the dark brown "ship floor", made of real wood with special Vinterio technology. A wide decorative strip inserted into an aluminum frame is also made of this porous material. A decorative strip that runs on both sides under the lower edges of the windows up to the instrument panel forms a visual connection with the centrally located infotainment system. Its functions are controlled via a touch screen with a proximity sensor. The required sound is provided by the Dynaudio Surround Sound audio system with a central speaker.
A robust rail system embedded in the floor contributes to the enormous variability of the interior. In addition to the sliding individual seats of the Multivan Alltrack study, a portable kitchen module can be safely attached to the rails, which can be placed both on the left side of the vehicle and behind the front seats, across from the direction of travel. Assembly and relocation of this module is a matter of a few easy steps, and users will find in it, in addition to a refrigerator, a gas stove and a sink with a tank of clean water . The module can be disassembled separately and used outside the vehicle, or it can be stored in the garage if it is not needed during the planned trip.
However, great looks are far from the only strong point of the Multivan Alltrack concept. The drive system consists of a powerful 2.0 TDI engine (132 kW/180 hp), the driving force of which is distributed between the front and rear axles via a multi-plate Haldex clutch , located in front of the rear differential. The approach angle is 21° at the front, 15° at the rear.
