The Volkswagen Bora was presented in a modernized form at the Canton Motor Show

I certainly don't have to convince anyone for a long time about how important the Chinese market is to most of the world's car companies at the moment. New and new production halls are being created in the region, producing models designed exactly according to Chinese taste. It is no different for the German car manufacturer Volkswagen , which this week presented the modernized Bora sedan , which is being produced at the FAW factory and which will reach its customers at the beginning of next year.

The design based on the previous generation of the Polo model has today been fully replaced by sharp edges in accordance with the brand's current philosophy. Although the similarity with the American specification Jetta is obvious at first glance, the Bora still looks unique. This is mainly helped by the angular headlights with a rounded lower part.

For the time being, a single engine will take care of the drive, namely a four-cylinder TSI with a displacement of 1.4 liters equipped with BlueMotion technology, which includes a start/stop system and a braking energy recovery system. The power unit produces 91 kW (horsepower) and is connected to the wheels of the front axle via a six-speed manual transmission as standard. A dual-clutch seven-speed DSG transmission will also be available on request.

The sedan built on the PQ34 platform also has a successful interior in the higher specifications, where such elements as wooden paneling of the dashboard, chrome details, automatic air conditioning or a navigation system with a touch screen have found their place. That is exactly what Volkswagen customers in Europe can normally get.
