Volkswagen brought several Beetle -based concepts to New York . These are meant to indicate what new editions we will get for the retro icon and to celebrate the car company's 60 years on the American market.
The white Beetle R-Line attracted the most attention. The Beetle on steroids boasts a rally-inspired bumper, a rear diffuser, black mirror caps, a rear spoiler and 20-inch Monterey wheels. Thanks to sports shock absorbers, the ground clearance of the entire car has also been reduced. There is a lot of carbon decor in the interior. To make the car drive the way it looks, it is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 217 horsepower.
Another concept is the Wave convertible designed for a pleasant summer. The whole car has a retro style, for example in the interior you will find beautiful seats and a wooden panel on the dashboard. On the outside, the car is painted in Habanero orange metallic, has silver mirror caps and nineteen- inch Tornado wheels.
As many customers in the US and China keep asking for the pink color, Volkswagen also introduced the Pink Edition . The pink metallic contrasts beautifully with the gray R-Line mirrors and bumpers.
And finally, there's the Beetle Convertible Denim , which is meant to recall the famous Beetle Jeans from the mid-70s. The canvas roof is in dark blue, while the car itself is painted in a unique Stonewashed Blue metallic that was mixed just for this concept. Eighteen-inch wheels complement the look appropriately. The denim pattern is on all the upholstery in the interior, while the dashboard features matte aluminum elements.
