Venturi presented a modified version of the buggy America in Paris

The Paris Motor Show is not only a traditional bastion of large car companies, but also of smaller domestic manufacturers who otherwise do not exhibit their creations much. One such brand is Venturi , which brought a modified version of the buggy America to the Porte de Versailles exhibition center.

The car as such is definitely not a hot new product – the brand brought the first pieces to the Paris Motor Show in 2010 . However, this differs in the drive used, and above all, the production of 25 units is certain, which will start next year. In terms of appearance, it offers elements in the form of a V-shaped radiator grille or headlights also known from other Venturi models. As a proper buggy, which is expected to move in lighter terrain, there is no lack of increased ground clearance to 280 mm , aesthetics are in charge of 20-inch wheels with 255/45 front and 275/45 rear tires. The customer can choose whether he wants to install a partition, replacing the door.

Under the hood we find an electric motor newly tuned to 407 hp and 480 Nm, which receives energy from 53 kWh lithium-ion polymer batteries. A full charge from the on-board charger with a capacity of 22 kW takes 3.5 hours and allows a range of 250 km. Acceleration to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds , to 200 km/h in 14 seconds and a maximum speed of 220 km/h are not bad values at all.

Finally, I will add the dimensions – America is 4125 mm long , 2060 mm wide and 1450 mm high. Despite the electric motor and batteries, the buggy weighs only 1525 kg.
