The new AMG Sport model will be placed under the C 63 AMG

If you don't want to buy BMW's most powerful M3 or M4, but want something sportier than the standard model, you choose the M Performance model. Until recently, Mercedes did not offer such an option, and with a little exaggeration it could be described as "AMG or nothing". Times are changing, however, and the Stuttgart automaker is also coming up with a weaker AMG .

Officially, the new model, available as a sedan and a station wagon, is called the C 450 AMG Sport. Its main trump card over the other versions in the range is a twice-turbocharged three-liter six-cylinder with increased turbocharger pressure. At 5,500 rpm, it produces 367 horsepower, and between 2,000 and 4,200 rpm the maximum torque is found, numerically expressed at 517 Nm. All wheels are driven with standard power distribution in the ratio of 33:67 in favor of the rear axle via a seven-speed automatic transmission. The sedan can reach 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds (the station wagon is 0.1 seconds slower), the maximum speed is necessarily limited to 250 km/h.

AMG Sport borrows adjustable shock absorbers , firmer springs, revised steering or modified front links from its stronger sibling and full-fledged AMG. The vented brakes with a diameter of 360 mm at the front and 320 mm at the rear, hiding behind the 18-inch wheels, are not original either. Other cosmetic changes include larger air intakes in the front bumper, a revised grille, black mirror caps, four dark chrome tailpipes and a subtle spoiler on the fifth door lid. In the interior, there are far fewer changes and they basically only focus on a padded sports steering wheel, red stitching, sports seats with red belts and alloy pedals.
