Two concepts were created on the basis of the relatively new pickup truck Chevrolet Silverado . While the first one refers to the work of firefighters and emergency services in general, the second one offers a tough look and is designed to survive a disaster .
The Chevrolet Silverado Z71 Volunteer Firefighter already, as the name suggests, "sings" volunteer and rescue work. And the name doesn't lie – in addition to the noble name, the Volunteer Firefighter is also equipped with a number of tools for providing not only first aid . This is primarily a siren, necessary equipment on the body or two fire extinguishers. The Z71 chassis was modified especially for the needs of this car. The appearance of this pickup is enhanced by two-tone body paint, twenty-two-inch wheels and numerous chrome elements.
Silverado Black Ops is a completely different story, although it also has the mission of protecting human lives. Chevrolet refers to it as a "four-wheel last resort," which in real life is a feature you'll most likely use in the event of a disaster. Black Ops is equipped with elements such as LED lighting, winch, off-road tires or special protection of the lower part of the body . In case of any "wreck", Chevrolet installed in the car a generator, a tool box, a supply of fuel, water and food , gas masks, gloves, a folding shovel and a military first aid kit.
Both cars are powered by a 5.3 EcoTec3 eight-cylinder engine with an output of 360 hp and a torque of 518 Nm. All-wheel drive is a matter of course, to which power is transmitted by a six-speed automatic transmission.
