Two Volkswagen concepts for the Sao Paulo Motor Show

Although it may sound cruel, the Paris Motor Show is a thing of the past. The eyes of the motoring world are currently shifting not only to the finals of the Formula 1 World Championship, but also to the upcoming motor shows in Sao Paulo and Los Angeles . And one of the main stars of the Brazilian exhibition will be a pair of Volkswagens – Fox Pepper and Saveiro Surf .

The five-door hatchback is already aimed at the younger generation, especially with its sporty appearance , highlighted by Red Tornado paint and 15-inch wheels. From the GTI models, Fox borrowed a radiator grille with a red stripe , the body is contrasted by a black roof and mirror covers. Because Brazilian roads aren't always the best, plastic trim stretches around the fenders and door sills. In addition to sports leather seats , the interior also received red vents and a 5.5-inch multimedia system with GPS navigation. Sports ambitions are not completely supported by the 16-cylinder petrol under the hood, which has a power of 121 horsepower, which is enough for a maximum speed of 189 km/h and acceleration to 100 km/h in 9.8 seconds. Officially, the Fox Pepper model is presented as a concept, but production is in the air.

The second interesting car at the Volkswagen stand will be the Saveiro small pickup truck in a simple cab version, which is based on the Fox model. In addition to the surfboard on the body, the Saveiro Surf differs from the classic model mainly with 15-inch Sepang wheels, special graphics on the side of the body, a radiator grille with a silver strip and a honeycomb structure and roof rails. Under the hood, we find a sixteen- cylinder engine that is capable of burning gasoline (output 101 hp) and ethanol (output 104 hp). The front wheels are driven via a five-speed manual gearbox.
