Toyota has served us more information about the station wagon version of the Auris model

When the Toyota Auris Touring Sports with tinted windows was displayed behind the fence in Paris , few believed that it was a serum model. It wasn't until almost a quarter of a year after the premiere that Toyota presented the station wagon in a little more detail.

The first Auris with an estate body boasts the same underpinnings as the starting hatchback, with which it also shares a wheelbase of 2600 mm. In terms of length, however, thanks to the rear overhang, the hatchback exceeds by 285 mm , which was mainly reflected in the luggage compartment, which offers a basic 530 liters and even 1658 liters after folding the rear seats.

The length of the loading area is equal to 1115 mm, while after folding the seats this value increases to 2047 mm. Compared to the hatchback, the station wagon will also be easier to load, as the lower edge of the trunk is 100 mm closer to the road. A system called Easy-Flat will facilitate subsequent folding of the rear seats, for which only one touch will suffice.

Under the hood, the same engines will appear as in the hatchback – 1.33 Dual VVT-i (99 hp), 1.6 Valvematic (132 hp), 1.4 D-4D (89 hp) and of course there will also be a hybrid version of the HSD , which combines a 1.8 VVT petrol unit – even with an electric motor. The total output of the system is 136 horsepower, it reaches 100 km/h in 10.9 seconds and accelerates to 180 km/h.
