For the new model year, Toyota equipped the RAV4 with modified technology in the form of all-wheel drive for the basic 2.0 D-4D diesel engine. In addition to it, new owners can also look forward to a modified selection of colors and new equipment elements.
The four-cylinder diesel 2.0 D-4D has an output of 124 hp at 6000 rpm and a torque of 310 Nm between 1600 – 2400 rpm. In conjunction with a six-speed manual, the four-wheeler emits 136 g of CO2/km. All-wheel drive with the Integrated Dynamic Drive system can send all the torque to the front axle, but if necessary, up to 50% of the torque goes to the wheels of the rear axle. In normal use, front-wheel drive is preferred.
The range of body colors includes dark brown metallic , which can be combined with the new design of eighteen-inch wheels (these are also available for front-wheel drive models). The interior gets four new schemes in shades of black, grey, terracotta and beige.
The Toyota Touch 2 multimedia system is equipped with a six-inch WVGA touch screen , the list of additional equipment includes JBL Premium audio with nine speakers, keyless entry, the Geneva Premium package (chrome strips on the sides and in the rear of the car) and the Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) system , which warns the driver of approaching cars when leaving a parking space.
