The popular motoring show Top Gear is known all over the world for its wild ideas, controversial opinions and humorous challenges. The trio of presenters is currently working with the Japanese Honda and together they are working on the fastest lawnmower !
Before the project started, there was a shiny new Honda HF2620 in the garage. But the shiny body took over when the classic rear axle was replaced by a go-kart axle. Then it went one after the other – sports wheels, tires from a racing four-wheeler, a steering rack from a Morris Minor and, most importantly, an engine from a Honda VTR1000F motorcycle.
It is precisely this that results in an output of 112 horsepower . No other mower or garden tractor in the world has such performance! And we continue – acceleration to 96 km/h in 4 seconds, maximum speed of 209 km/h … These values should be enough to overcome the current record among lawn mowers, held by Bobby Cleveland, who reached a maximum speed of 155.35 km/h in 2010 h.
We might be wiser next week , when the official unveiling of this bizarre machine is scheduled.
