The premiere of the new Octavia is coming soon, we bring you the best render yet!

Skoda is working hard to complete the new Octavia . This is also confirmed by the fact that selected European journalists were given the opportunity to drive a pre-series prototype. However, our editors were not among the chosen ones, so they have to make do with the available renders and information .

The best one so far goes to indianautosblog.com . The design of the model in the attached render is based on the captured prototypes driving on our roads and on the other hand from leaked details such as the front headlight. The similarity with the new Rapid or the Vision D concept goes without saying.

As you probably already know, the Octavia III will receive the modular MQB chassis platform. This will allow the wheelbase to be extended by approx. 10.8 cm compared to the current version. The trunk will also grow – from the already large 560 liters to 590 liters !

No one but Skoda knows the exact range of engines yet, but it is almost certain that the range will start with a small 1.2 TSI engine. It will be supplemented with gasolines ranging from 1.4 to 2.0 liters and diesels with volumes from 1.6 to 2.0 liters . A 6-speed manual and DSG automatic will be available for an additional fee. All-wheel drive has not yet been confirmed.

The new Octavia will be shown at the turn of November and December. It will actually go on sale after its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in March next year. The price should be higher than the current model, mainly due to the difference from the smaller Rapid and the use of more advanced technologies…
