The Japanese brand revealed to the public at the Paris Motor Show the new Mazda 6 flagship in sedan and station wagon design. However, the first "swallow" with SKYACTIV technologies and the KODO – Soul of Motion design was the CX-5 , which was presented last year at the Frankfurt Motor Show . However, it was expected when the first information or photos of the representative of the lower middle class – Mazda 3 – would appear.
Just today, the first three pictures of the new generation of the Japanese hatchback were shown, which look credible and came to the address of the British magazine AutoExpress . Make up your own mind whether these are official photos or digital illustrations. We in the editorial office think that official pictures of the car have been published.
It is clear from the photos that the new Mazda3 will be proud of the KODO design, elements from the Takeri concept and certainly also SKYACTIV technologies. It will be available in the following variants as before, i.e. a five-door hatchback (mainly a competitor for the Golf VII) and a four-door sedan (a competitor for the new Audi A3 Sedan). In appearance, it stands out rather from the new " six ", thanks to the chrome front grille, the line of which flows into the headlights. From the profile, we can notice similar aerodynamic elements as on the new flagship.
With the help of SKYACTIV, the new " three " completes the better weight and consumption of the engines compared to the predecessor. The power units will probably be identical to those found in the engine compartment of the Mazda 6 . It is said that the powerful Mazda 3 MPS is also in development. Sales of the new generation Mazda 3 will begin in the middle of next year.
