Ford plans to make a major change in the design of the next generation Mustang . It should be sleeker and sportier than the previous version. The Mustang was generally aimed at customers in the United States, the new generation will also cater to markets in other countries.
The Evos concept, which appeared last year in Frankfurt , approximated the appearance of the new Mustang . However, we can be sure that the long hood and short deck profile will remain.
In the engine compartment of the top version, the five-liter forked eight-cylinder from the current model will again be housed, but the six-cylinder variant will have to give way to a more efficient turbocharged four-cylinder. Instead of the rigid rear axle, which has been installed in the Mustang until now, we can expect a chassis with independent wheel suspension. This will improve the driving characteristics of the car, which will thus be more attractive to more demanding European customers.
More information is not available yet, but we can be comforted by the automaker's plan to present the car at the 2014 New York Auto Show.
