New Ford Mondeo officially presented

Even before the Paris Motor Show, Ford presented the fourth generation of its flagship model, the Mondeo .

However, we were able to get a picture of the final form of this car already in the winter by looking at the Fusion model, which is the American equivalent of the European Mondeo. Compared to America, however, in Europe the new Mondeo will be sold in three body variants. And that as a sedan, liftback and station wagon.

After all, the interior is nothing new for us either. Here too we can see the basis derived from Fusion . This, on the other hand, is not harmful at all. Because of this, customers can look forward to high-quality materials, flawless workmanship and rich equipment. In the car, we can find items such as the SYNC multimedia system with an eight-inch screen, a panoramic roof, inflatable seat belts that reduce the risk of head, neck and chest injuries for passengers in the back, and a Wi-Fi hotspot that allows the connection of up to five devices.

However, because of the Internet, no one will buy the new Mondeo . Information about new power units is thus much more interesting. For the first time ever, the new Mondeo will be offered with all-wheel drive in combination with a diesel engine. There will also be a hybrid variant based on a two-liter petrol engine supplemented by a 35 kW electric motor. Another novelty is the deployment of a turbocharged three-cylinder EcoBoost engine producing 91 kW (125 hp) and 170 Nm of torque. With the Overboost function, the torque can briefly increase to 200 Nm.
