The new Focus 1.0 EcoBoost will be the most economical family car with a gasoline engine

The new Focus 1.0 EcoBoost , with a combined consumption of only 4.3 l/100 km, will become the most fuel-efficient Ford model in history, as well as the most fuel-efficient car in its class.

The modernized Focus EcoBoost will be powered by a specially calibrated version of the award-winning engine in the 74 kW variant and will receive economical ECOnetic technologies including special tires with very low rolling resistance, modified aerodynamics and modified transmissions. Thanks to these modifications, it was possible to achieve consumption of 4.3 l/100 km and CO2 emissions below 99 g/km .

"Just a few years ago, few would have thought it possible for a compact petrol car to break the 100 grams of CO2 per kilometer target," said Barb Samardzich , Ford of Europe's vice president of product development. "However, the 1.0 EcoBoost engine has a habit of turning the expectations of the parties on the characteristics of petrol engines on their head, and thus it can overcome this limit as well. "

The Ford 1.0 EcoBoost, winner of the International Engine of the Year poll in 2012 and 2013, thus pushes the boundaries of what is possible: the new model is more powerful than the Ford Focus 1.6 from less than ten years ago, yet produces 47% less CO2 emissions.

Thanks to its low emissions, the owner of the new Focus 1.0 EcoBoost will be able to benefit from various concessions. For example, in Great Britain he will be exempt from road tax, while in France he will receive a significant tax discount on newly registered cars.
