The Ministry of the Environment took delivery of the new Octavia Green E Line

The Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic was the most recently involved in the emission-free mobility testing project of the Skoda car company . The fleet of the highest state institution that deals with the environment in the Czech Republic has been expanded by the white Skoda Octavia Green E Line electric car . The ministry will use the car as part of its regular agenda for business trips in Prague and the surrounding area. A total of 10 test Octavia Combi electric cars are driving in the Czech Republic , which have driven more than 70,000 km so far.

The Ministry accepted the offer and will test the borrowed electric car. We will use it for transport between the government, the parliament and the ministry. Of all the ministries, our department is located the farthest from the mentioned authorities. We will definitely use the electric car," says Environment Minister Tomáš Chalupa.
The Ministry of the Environment took over the electric car from the hands of Petr Pečenka, director of SKODA AUTO Czech Republic . In the service of the state administration, this Octavia will serve as a company car in normal, everyday use. For driving around Prague and its surroundings, the electric station wagon offers a more than sufficient range of 150 km per charge, which corresponds to the average use of a car in European cities.
Participants in the trial run include not only state administration bodies, but also a university, major energy companies or the family of one of SKODA AUTO 's employees. The fleet of electric cars has so far driven more than 70,000 km on electricity alone, mainly in the city.
Skoda Octavia Green E Line is based on the Octavia Combi model. The electric motor provides a power of up to 85 kW. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in twelve seconds, the maximum speed is 135 km/h. The Octavia Green E Line draws electrical energy from a lithium-ion battery. Recharging takes about two hours. A range of 150 kilometers per charge meets the requirements of most Europeans who commute to work every day.
