The Lancia Delta Integrale will have a successor, but don't get too excited

Who does not know the queen of the rally, or Lancia Delta Integrale, which is no longer produced any Friday and a full-fledged successor is still in sight. And it is not surprising if we look at the current situation in the car company itself. But as they say, hope dies last!

But I have good news for die-hard rally and Delta fans, as it looks like the Delta Integrale will return as a three-door model. The reincarnation of the famous model is to take place in a similar way to the 911 from Singer.

The small Italian company Automobili Amos, founded by racing driver Eugene Amos, will be behind the reincarnation. He was inspired by Singer himself to present the best version of the famous Delta Integrale. Amos revealed that the original car will be completely redesigned and will receive more than 1,000 new parts. The bodywork itself will be made of hand-made aluminum, while the front fascia will come from carbon as a reference to the Lancia Beta.

Modifications will also be made to the power unit, suspension and the entire chassis, so you can expect different driving characteristics from the original. The attached sketches show that the design of the modern Delta Integrale boasts a more "muscular" body, but the car still retains its original charisma. Compared to the original, the reincarnated will only offer one pair of doors, and when it comes to the interior, Amos wants to change it and will be inspired by the dashboard of the Delta S4.

The Delta Integrale 16V will be used directly for the conversions, since the rarer version of the Evoluzione is so valued that it would be a shame to use it for the given conversion. Automobili Amos was originally scheduled to premiere at this year's Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, but unfortunately they didn't make it. The release of the given sketches is supposed to be a kind of band-aid, and it is said that we will soon receive more detailed information. We are really curious!
