The first model of the reborn Datsun

Datsun is officially back! The legendary Japanese car manufacturer is coming back to the light of day, but in a slightly different form than rock fans would welcome. Its "first" will be a small and cheap hatchback aimed at India.

The novelty bears the designation GO , which, according to the automaker, refers to the very first car with the Datsun logo on the hood – the DAT-GO model from 1914 . The appearance itself is rather an evolution of the Nissan Micra , from which the GO is based. The distinctive element is the hexagonal grille and prominent lights.

The interior is designed very efficiently and economically. The lockable box in front of the passenger is replaced by a shelf, the gearbox and handbrake are located on the center console, so there is more space between the front seats. The seats themselves look similar to the Skoda Citigo and, according to the first photos, they almost lack side guides.

The GO has a length of 3785 mm , a width of 1635 mm and a height of 1485 mm. The five-door hatchback stands on a wheelbase of 2450 mm. The drive is provided by a three-cylinder 12-cylinder engine together with a five-speed manual transmission. The basic price in India could be around 130,000 CZK .
