Racing specialist Jota Sport , in collaboration with Mazda , are launching the MX-5 with the moniker GT . It is based on last year's concept of the same name, which was presented at the Goodwood Festival of Speed .
Definitely the most welcome change is the increase in power to 208 hp , compared to the base model, which is the two-liter Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupé Sport Tech. These modifications were achieved by reprogramming the control unit and a new exhaust and, importantly, mainly without the use of a turbo or supercharger. The modified MX-5 GT can reach a top speed of 225 km/h and reach 96 km/h in 6.4 seconds – 1.5 seconds faster than the standard model.
Even visually , the GT is based on last year's concept. Basic modifications thus include anthracite wheels, a carbon diffuser and a black roof. You can pay extra for a carbon splitter and rear spoiler. In the interior, the driver and his passenger are greeted by Recaro sports seats , the chassis received Bilstein shock absorbers and optional Öhlins suspension.
The base price of the MX-5 GT is 29,995 pounds (approx. 914,000 CZK), its sale will take place exclusively through the Lodge Garage dealership in Aylesbury.
