The Chinese owner of Saab technology introduced a sports sedan based on it

When GM sold some of Saab's retired technology to China in 2009, fans of the brand and mere enthusiasts alike clapped their foreheads. The Shanghai Motor Show showed why.

The once exceptional Saab 9-5 Aero Sedan has been transformed into the Shenbao D-Series Aero in the hands of the Chinese car company Beijing Auto . The design is characterized primarily by an aggressive concept of the front and rear parts. There are modern LEDs in the front lights, new bumpers, a rear diffuser or large wheels. Thanks to aerodynamic elements, the body has favorable air resistance cx = 0.28 .

Under the hood is a turbocharged unit with a volume of 2.3 liters with an output of 350 hp and a torque of 500 Nm. And if you guessed the foundation in Saab, you guessed right! The automaker also stated that the sedan is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in about 6 seconds.
