Tatra Trucks at the IDET fair

This year, Tatra Trucks will present itself at a joint stand with the Excalibur Group holding, and together they will present several interesting novelties at indoor and outdoor exhibitions. In addition to its technical solution, the TITUS vehicle is also interesting in that, in case of interest from the Czech and Slovak armed forces, Tatra Trucks, which is the main contractor for the Czech and Slovak armed forces, will participate intensively in its production. Nexter Systems will act as the supplier and licensing authority.

Thanks to an unprecedented level of modularity achieved through the use of various combat mission kits, operational environment kits and a wide range of different versions, the TITUS ® (Tactical Infantry Transport & Utility System) is capable of fulfilling a variety of missions from infantry transport to combat and fire support to various function within the framework of ensuring the combat capability of the troops. It is designed to successfully perform tasks in any conceivable situation in any of the conflicts that can be expected in today's world, including hybrid or asymmetric warfare environments. It offers excellent maneuverability thanks to its Tatra 6×6 chassis and 440 horsepower engine. The three-axle, air-suspended chassis with the first and third steering axles provides the vehicle with high speed and excellent comfort for the crew. " TITUS" is built on the chassis of the Tatra concept with a central support tube and independently swinging semi-axles with air suspension, which gives the vehicle excellent cross-country ability, agility and comfort for the crew, " says technical director of Tatra Trucks Radomír Smolka . It is controlled by three crew members (commander, gunner, driver) and can carry up to ten airborne troops. If necessary, the crew can be reduced to just two members, creating enough space for a twelve-man landing party. The vehicle can be fitted with any of the modern remotely controlled weapon stations and a wide variety of weapons including everything from 7.62 mm machine guns to 20 mm cannons to 40 mm grenade launchers . Vehicle systems are fully integrated with modern C4I systems and networks. It has superior ballistic protection, which is also modular and can reach level 2-4 according to STANAG 4569. Mine resistance is at level 4a-4b. The vehicle can withstand an IED blast up to 150 kg of TNT equivalent. Sophisticated active and passive protection systems are available. There are many variants on offer: from a classic infantry fighting vehicle to a command vehicle, an armored ambulance, to connection, repair and evacuation vehicles. For police use, for example, various modules are available, thanks to which the vehicle can be quickly prepared for specific tasks, e.g. a SWAT module, a module with a water cannon (WCT – Water Cannon Tank) or a so-called "riot control" module.

Another interesting exhibit, which is also the result of intensive cooperation with the renowned manufacturer of defense systems General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS), is a bridge rig placed on a Tatra Force (T815-7) eight-wheeler equipped with a hook loader.

In the outdoor exhibition, visitors will be able to see a rescue vehicle built again on an 8×8 chassis of the Tatra Force model series (T815-7), in a position depicting the towing of a Pandur combat vehicle.

On the polygon, which is located behind Pavilion Z, it will be possible not only to see, but also to test a working prototype of the Tatra Tactic vehicle (T810) in the 4×4 version (the all-wheel drive 6×6 version is successfully used by the AČR and the Saudi armed forces).
