Tatra presents its production program in Australia

The Australian Tatra vehicle dealer traditionally presents itself at the Queensland Mining & Engineering Exhibition , one of the largest mining exhibitions in the world (takes place on July 22-24, 2014). Tatra Phoenix 8×8 and T815-7 8×8 mining vehicles with discharge system are presented.

Tatras used by mining and construction companies in Australia are very popular , both for their reliability and off-road capabilities. The Tatra Phoenix 8×8 vehicle is equipped with a liquid-cooled Paccar MX six-cylinder with an Allison automatic transmission and a VS-Mont body with a volume of 18m 3 . In order to comply with safety regulations, the vehicle is equipped with a protective frame that meets ROPS/FOPS regulations.

The civilian version of the "seven series", known primarily from military or firefighting applications , in the configuration of 1 front and 3 rear axles, of which the last axle is steerable, had its premiere at the BAUMA 2013 exhibition. It is equipped with a Tatra air-cooled engine with a power of 442 hp and Allison six-speed automatic transmission and Telma electric retarder. In this case, crew protection according to ROPS/FOPS regulations is integrated in the cabin roof. The superstructure – a body with a Fliegl discharge device without the need for tipping – can also function comfortably and efficiently in underground spaces.

Although both exhibits are used to transport overburden , stones , sand or other materials, Tatrovkas also function in Australia as service vehicles – sprinklers, tanks for refilling fuel and lubricants, platforms for the delivery of spare parts, etc.
