Tata showed the ConnectNext concept in its European premiere

Each manufacturer sees the future of passenger car transport differently. Some bet on small one- or two-seater vehicles, others on hybrid five-meter SUVs for a change. Tata is somewhere in the middle, because its four-meter ConnectNext vision will carry five passengers, but at the same time, thanks to the electric motor, it will probably produce even less emissions than those pocket cars.

The rounded body benefits from futuristic details and large side glazing. At the same time, the absence of a B-pillar is characteristic, which makes it easier to get into the interior through doors that open opposite each other. The rear part is also richly glazed, which is followed by a panoramic roof. You'd look in vain for side mirrors replaced by cameras , and there's no mirror inside, where there's a rear camera for a change.

The cabin has an unusual seating arrangement , where one half of the car has two seats behind it and the other three. All five are separate, divided by a massive central tunnel with orange backlighting. An interesting element is the absence of classic air conditioning , which has been replaced by an individual cooling system, working on the basis of many sensors throughout the cabin. The temperature for individual passengers is then adjusted exactly to their needs, which saves a lot of energy. Rear passengers are entertained while driving with wireless headphones , integrated screens or access to cloud services.

The steering wheel, if you can call it that at all, is reminiscent of an iPod Classic with its buttons and actually only underlines the sci-fi shapes of the dashboard. It is practically completely digital and, in addition to the multimedia system with navigation, it also has a digital instrument panel. All with touch control, of course. In front of the driver is a head-up display, projecting not only operational data, but also information from navigation and possibly important warnings. As already mentioned in the introduction, the drive is provided by an electric motor in combination with an automatic transmission.
