Suzuki introduced the new sedan to Chinese customers as well

Last week, Indian automaker Maruti Suzuki revealed the Ciaz model , the production version of the Alivio concept sedan. Ciaz is now headed to the second most populous Asian country, namely China , where it will eventually retain the name of the original concept.

Both cars share the same basic proportions, but the Alivio looks far more luxurious thanks to the greater amount of chrome, different wheels and the white color of the body. When I have already bitten the chrome elements, the most striking thing is the radiator grille, complete with the surroundings of the fog lights, rear lights or window surrounds. The bumpers are also shaped differently, which means slightly different dimensions – Alivio is 4545 mm long (55 mm more than Ciaz), 1730 mm wide and 1475 mm high (10 mm less than Ciaz). Just like the width, the wheelbase of 2650 mm is the same.

Under the hood, we find only one engine – a 120-horsepower 16 -liter gasoline engine, which sends power to the front wheels via a five-speed manual or stepless CVT automatic . So far, sales will start only on the Chinese market, where Alivio will cost about 110,000 yuan (approx. 385,000 crowns). In the future, however, imports to, for example, Australia, Russia, Israel, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia or South Africa are expected.
