Suzuki is preparing a series version of the iV-4 concept for Paris

The compact crossover segment saw another addition, this time with the Suzuki logo . This turned the iV-4 concept into a production model with the name Vitara, but it confused a lot of people.

The Grand Vitara model is still on sale, competing with, for example, the Mitsubishi Outlander or the Honda CR-V. However, the Vitara has only a name in common with this car and will definitely not become its successor. It is supposed to be placed just below the Grand Vitara , on the other hand, above the Jimny (I will remind you that the length of the concept is 4215 mm), thus filling the gap created for a model that competes with, for example, the Nissan Juke or the Renault Captur.

The design is based on last year's iV-4 concept, which just foreshadowed the small crossover. The color combination with the black roof and light blue rest of the body is even the same. Compared to the concept, the futuristic lights , large wheels or massive front bumper also disappeared, but the basic shape of the body remained the same. Suzuki also promises a high degree of individualization .

Both diesel and petrol engines have low consumption and CO2 emissions, with Suzuki claiming it will be one of the most fuel-efficient cars in the segment. For an additional fee, it will be possible to use ALLGRIP all-wheel drive . The Japanese automaker is keeping more technical data and more photos until October, when the Vitara will be officially presented in Paris .
