Subaru has revealed a video of the new WRX showing off its capabilities

Japanese automaker Subaru has released a promotional video featuring the new WRX , proving that it inherited some rally genes from previous generations. The new generation Subaru WRX was presented at the end of November at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show .

When the new WRX was revealed, many die-hard Subaru fans were disappointed, as the production version looked quite different from the gorgeous concept that was unveiled at the New York Auto Show. The new WRX will also offer 20% higher torsional rigidity of the body compared to its predecessor, thanks to a retuning of the chassis. In addition, the WRX also has a faster 14.5:1 steering ratio and front brakes that have 40% better fade resistance.

The heart of the Japanese icon is a newly developed 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with a power of 272 hp and a torque of 350 Nm. As standard, the engine is connected to a six-speed manual transmission, but the new Sport Lineartronic CVT transmission , which offers three modes – Intelligent, Sport and Sport Sharp, is also available for an extra charge. Subaru 's all-wheel drive system is standard, along with a torque vectoring system, which guarantees better cornering speed and more grip.
