Subaru BRZ got an eight-cylinder under the hood!

We have known since the beginning of the production of the Japanese Toyota GT86/Subaru BRZ/Scion FR-S that 200 horsepower from a non-turbocharged two-liter is not enough . That's why Subaru is preparing the BRZ STI. However, one group of enthusiasts made up for the lack of performance in their own way!

The group calls itself Weapons Grade Performance and published a short video and a few photos of the construction of the eight-cylinder Subaru BRZ on Facebook! Yes, you heard that right!

The basic four-cylinder engine was sacrificed (certainly not for the country) and instead an honest, eight-cylinder American LS2 from the Pontiac GTO moved into the engine compartment! It not only has once as many cylinders, but also once as many horses – that is exactly 400 !

It sounds promising, but there is a big but! How will it be with the weight distribution , since the basic model has it almost ideal? Weapons Grade Performance does not mention such a "trifle" yet. Still, we're rooting for this project and hopefully we'll see some driving videos soon!
