SsangYong introduced the Korando hybrid form

The Korean SsangYong , as one of the last major car companies, also decided to take an alternative route. At the South Korean ENVEX fair , the automaker showed the Korando C EV-R hybrid SUV concept .

As the epithet already suggests, the drive in this case is handled by a combined drive train. The main unit is an electric motor with a capacity of 136 hp , which has a counterpart in the form of a gasoline three-cylinder with a capacity of 50 hp , which works as a generator. The resulting energy is stored in a battery with a capacity of 16 kWh.

The theoretical range on electricity is 150 km , another 500 km can be added by the aforementioned three-cylinder petrol engine. Unfortunately, this is where the official information ends. SsangYong has only released so far that the Korando C EV-R was developed in collaboration with the Korean Ministry of the Environment.
