A special Porsche 356 converted into a Hot Rod

There are quite a few Porsche models in the world that can be said to be exceptional or unique. However, this is a completely different case, because while the Carrera GT has a select few dozen, there is a 99% probability that only one person in the world has this model!

The lucky one is someone who benefits from the work of one Jeff Dutton from Australia. One day he decided to rebuild one 356 in this form. He certainly needed a lot of money, practice and courage to do this, but the most important thing was surely the art of building Lego! Don't you believe? So take a look at what the model is made of…

The chassis was borrowed from the 914-6 , the engine was taken from the 911 and the design is based on the 356 Continental from 1955. To all this, Dutton also added his own invention, a few parts from famous companies and that was it! The 356 Silver Bullet Hot Rod is here!

Up to the front B-pillar, the design is more or less identical to the default 356 . However, no stone was left unturned. The roof and the wheelbase have been extended by a few centimeters and there is no window in the rear. The 17-inch wheels and side air intake inspired by the 718 RSK model also stand out from the profile.

The interior is very spartan, but purpose-built. The basis is comfortable seats upholstered in green leather. A touch of the past will be brought by the large wooden steering wheel and the Telefunken radio from the original 356 Continental . You would also look in vain for any upholstered panels or carpets in the interior – everything is aluminum.

The 3.0 engine originally from the 911 model has been adapted to the RS version thanks to Weber carburetors, it is placed in the middle of the car and gives it 279 horsepower . On the road, a 5-speed gearbox with the type designation 915 helps transfer the power. The brakes from the 934 take care of stopping the model.

As I already mentioned, the model is privately owned and I couldn't find any indication of the price . However, due to its uniqueness, it will be incalculable .
