If you still remember this year's Geneva Motor Show, you surely know that two limited edition Alfa Romeos with the nickname NRing were presented there. Specifically, it was the Giulia and Stelvio models, both in Quadrifoglio design.
The Italian carmaker will offer a total of 108 units of each model as a reference to the 108th anniversary of its founding. The limited edition NRing is meant to depict the historical bond between Alfa Romeo and the famous German circuit Nürburgring. In the past few days, sales of the special version have started in Europe, the Middle East and also in Africa.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia NRing and Stelvio NRing are very easy to recognize, thanks to the specific Circuito Gray paint and the commemorative plaque with the numerical sequence on the dashboard. Alfa Romeos also have NRing carbon-ceramic brakes as standard, Sparco sports seats with red stitching and a leather/Alcantara steering wheel. Carbon fibers can also be found on the front badge, additional thresholds or exterior mirror covers. In addition, the limited Giulia NRing has a carbon roof, while the Stelvio NRing will offer a panoramic roof for a change.
In both models, a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder with a power of 510 horsepower and a torque of 600 Nm is hidden under the hood. The unit cooperates with an eight-speed automatic, where in the Giulia it sends power only to the rear wheels and in the Stelvia to all four. The mid-range sedan accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 307 km/h, while the first production SUV from Alfa Romeo can accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and its top speed is 283 km/h.
All 216 owners will also receive a driving experience at the Nürburgring circuit (the joint event will take place during 2019), a 1:18 scale model of their car, Sparco racing gloves, a specially tailored jacket, sports bag, cufflinks and shoes. Unfortunately, the prices are not known yet.
