Skoda presented the new Octavia Scout

Skoda consistently continues its model offensive. The new Octavia Scout will celebrate its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show . The robust universal car impresses with its distinctive off-road appearance , innovative all-wheel drive solution, excellent driving characteristics and high versatility on and off roads .

The new Octavia Scout, which is based on the Octavia Combi model , impresses with its distinctive look, typical of Scout models. Front and rear, the car has massive, black plastic-protected bumpers with off-road-style silver accents. In the bow there is a wide opening bringing air into the engine compartment and sharply cut fog lamps. The sills and edges of the fenders are protected by black plastic covers, and the sides of the doors are also protected by black protective strips. Ground clearance is increased by 33 millimeters (171 mm in total) compared to the regular Octavia model. Attractive seventeen-inch light-alloy wheels are part of the standard equipment. The interior features a leather-covered multifunctional three-spoke steering wheel and attractive Scout design elements.

New technical elements and the most modern all-wheel drive solution , using fifth generation Haldex inter-axle couplings, make the new generation the best Octavia Scout model ever. The maximum permissible trailer weight has increased by 25 percent to two tons. The vehicle's starting characteristics and climbing ability have also been significantly improved. Thanks to increased approach angles, the Skoda Octavia Scout can handle more demanding terrain. The offer includes two diesel engines (2.0 TDI 4×4 – 150 hp, 320 Nm, 6-speed manual and 2.0 TDI 4×4 – 184 hp, 380 Nm, 6-speed DSG) and one gasoline engine (1.8 TSI 4×4 – 180 hp , 280 Nm, 6-speed DSG). Compared to the previous generation, these aggregates are on average 20 percent more economical.
