Skoda is testing the new generation MPV Roomster

The current Skoda Roomster has been on the market since 2006, and due to low sales , a successor is eagerly awaited. It will share only the name with the current Roomster, production will be moved to Poland .

A test prototype of the new Roomster was captured by worldcarfans.com testing in the Swiss Alps. The novelty is being tested in the mule of the current Volkswagen Touran , but according to earlier information, it will share technology with the more useful Volkswagen Caddy. It should also share a production line with him in Poznań , where production will move from Kvasin in Central Bohemia.

The second generation of the compact MPV will be larger than the current model , but the price will most likely increase along with it. According to unconfirmed reports, the new Roomster will receive the MQB modular platform , which will save several tens of kilograms. At the same time, there is speculation about the use of side sliding doors instead of classic ones.

The novelty will go on sale in 2015 , while the premiere will take place before the end of this year, as for example with the Citigo model, or the Geneva Motor Show in March will be the stage for the theater called Roomster of the second generation.
