Skoda Snowman again in brighter images

In 2016, the Skoda Snowman will be about 40 cm longer than the Yeti and will also offer three rows of seats. Now these fragments are joined by others, thanks to which we can get a clearer picture of the large SUV .

The Snowman is to become one of the stones on the way to 1.5 million sales , which Skoda wants to achieve in 2018. But even without it, it has done well – in the first half of the year, for the first time in history , it exceeded the mark of half a million cars sold , when it even managed to state 522 500 Damage. The Mladoboleslav car company believes that Snowman will follow on from Yeti and add another interesting ration to the promising numbers.

From earlier information , we know that the evolution of the MQB modular platform will be about 40 cm longer in the Snowman than the Yeti , the brand's only SUV. Thanks to this extension, it will be possible to mount a third row of seats in the rear of the interior, but it will remain only an alternative to the standard five-seat configuration.

From a technical point of view, we will probably find three gasoline units under the hood, with a power range of 150-220 hp, and two TDI diesel engines , with a power of 150 and 184 hp. The front and all wheels will be driven, while according to behind-the-scenes information, the 4×4 version will be equipped with more off-road looks and accessories, and it should even match the Land Rover in off-road.

However, an even bigger "rock" is the information that Skoda is working on a competitor to the BMW X4 or Range Rover Evoque, i.e. a more premium SUV the size of the current Yeti. The question is whether it will be the second generation of the already mentioned Yeti model or the third independent SUV in the brand's offer. What is certain is that we will not see the small Polar SUV , which is advantageous from the point of view of Europe, but in China, unlike the competitor X4, it does not have much chance to succeed.
