Skoda is planning a successor to the Roomster MPV

The second generation Skoda Roomster has been talked about for a long time with big question marks , but according to the latest statements of the representatives of the brand, it seems that we will finally see it. In addition, the second generation should retain the large side windows of the second pair of doors.

"There will be a new Roomster, but we don't yet know what it will look like. We haven't decided yet whether to make it longer, wider or taller, or long enough to install a third row of seats. However, we know that the large side window must be preserved," Stephanie Labussiere-Metz , head of product marketing, told Motoring magazine. And why will the atypical glazing be preserved ? "This way, children can see more things and be more connected to the world around them. Parents who have a Roomster love the big windows," added Labussiere-Metzová.

On the technical side, the new Roomster will be based on the Volkswagen Caddy, on the other hand, in terms of design, we cannot expect any major departure from the current style of designer Jozef Kabana. When we can expect the new Roomster is still largely unknown – some sources talk about the premiere during the next year , others only after the upcoming SUV for 2016.
