Skoda will offer up to 8 models this year

The Mladoboleslav automobile company Skoda started its model offensive with the Rapid model , but we would rather say with the third generation Octavia , which was presented on home soil on December 11, 2012 . Then the Czech brand announced on its Facebook page that it plans to unveil four more models this year.

In practice, this would mean that six new models will be added to the brand's portfolio during 2013. However, after the unveiling of the new Octavia Combi , we learned that a total of eight new models will be introduced this year, not six. The first swallow was the mentioned Octavia Combi , which will be unveiled next week at the Geneva Motor Show. The second novelty will most likely be the powerful liftback Octavia RS , whose debut should take place during the summer.

The third in the order will probably be the second generation of the Superb , which will undergo modernization and adopt a new design ala Octavia III . We can only guess at the remaining five planned models, but we will probably see the modernized Superb Combi , the new Octavia Combi RS , and the redesigned Yeti , where for the first time there will also be an extended variant .

It is not yet certain where the rest of the models will make their debut, but it will all start with the Octavia Combi in Geneva. In short and well – this year belongs to the new Octavia and its other variants, while 2014 will belong to the new generation Fabia and its derivatives.
