Skoda Octavia Green E Line cars will be tested by ČEZ

Skoda is testing its fleet of Octavia Green E Line electric cars together with another renowned partner: From now on, Skoda and ČEZ , the largest Central European energy company, are using two electric cars. The annual test operation is intended to provide important insights into the suitability of the electric drive for everyday practical use. For this purpose, ČEZ will also build new charging stations in and around Mladá Boleslav.

For one year, ČEZ will use two SkodaOctavia Green E Line cars with a range of 150 kilometers per charge in city traffic around Prague and for shorter business trips within the territory of the Czech Republic. For this purpose, this energy company will build new battery charging stations in and around Mladá Boleslav.

Both Skoda electric cars with a white station wagon body, which were handed over to ČEZ , belong to a fleet of ten electrically powered Octavia Green E Line cars, which are being tested on Czech roads under normal operating conditions. The first of these test electric cars have been in operation since March 2012 at various Skoda company partners. These cars have already covered more than 50,000 kilometers in operation on public roads.

Skoda Octavia Green E Line is based on the Octavia Combi model . The electric motor provides a power of up to 85 kW. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just twelve seconds, the maximum speed is 135 km/h. The Octavia Green E Line draws electrical energy from a lithium-ion battery. Recharging takes about two hours. A range of 150 kilometers per charge meets the requirements of most Europeans who commute to work every day.
