This week, the SKODA car manufacturer from Mladoboleslav presented the new cycling collection 2012. This season, SKODA bicycles and the corresponding cycling clothing are made in an exclusive 'Racing' design. It is based on the color design of the successful SKODA Motorsport factory team.
The new bicycle collection for 2012 consists of seven models for different cycling disciplines and age groups. All bicycles are made in the green and white design typical of the SKODA Motorsport team. In addition, their appearance is based on the new, fresh corporate design of the SKODA brand. SKODA AUTO's Technical Development staff also participated in this green and white design. The current 2012 design emphasizes the 111-year sports history of the Mladá Boleslav automobile company.
The 2012 range includes models based on the 'Superior' brand. Road cyclists reach for the lightweight 8.7kg 'Road' bike with an aluminum frame and carbon fork. On unpaved roads, cycling fans will ride for example the 'MTB' model or even the ultimate 'MTB Full' with a suspension frame. The versatile bike from the 2012 collection is the 'Cross' model. All of these SKODA bike models have a lockable suspension front fork and are available in three sizes.
SKODA AUTO doesn't forget even the smallest cyclists: The bigger ones can set off on the MTB-Junior bike, which in child sizes has the same technology as the "big" bikes, for example a lockable front fork or a 21-speed gearbox. With the SKODA 'Kid' bicycle, even younger children can move around on two wheels. Brand new in the collection is the 'Mini' bouncer, designed for the little ones. It was developed together with the bicycle manufacturer Olpran.
I can say for myself that I really like this collection of bicycles in terms of design, and after visiting the SKODA e-shop , I fell in love with other products, including wristwatches.
