Shelby rushed to modify the Focus ST

Recently, the American company Shelby drew our attention to its stand in Detroit . That they say the future is smaller turbocharged engines. Yesterday, the first non-Mustang car in the brand's current portfolio was unveiled at a press conference.

This car is based on the Ford Focus ST , and to get its "new" name, just swap the brand names. The Shelby Focus ST will offer slightly more sporty details than its production sibling, starting with a vented hood and a hydrocarbon grille. The rear spoiler and intake in the rear bumper are also made of the same material. The tip of the iceberg is the double exhaust tip and the option to order several graphic designs for the exterior .

The interior r will offer original Shelby badges on e.g. the seats and a new shifter head. So far, the tuner is silent on the technology, but he did say that the Focus ST received new brakes, a lowered chassis and a Borla exhaust system .

The model, which complements the Shelby GT500 Super Snake with an extended body on the stand in Detroit, will be produced in only 500 units , each of which will cost at least $14,995 (approx. CZK 288,000) + the price of the new Focus ST.
