Skoda presents five sports models at this year's GTI meeting at Lake Wörthersee . The highlight is the world premiere of the Skoda Rapid SPORT study . In addition, the Czech manufacturer showed the new Skoda Octavia Combi with sports package, Citigo Motorsport and Fabia RS Motorsport . Also on display is the successful Fabia S2000 rally car .
We have already presented the Skoda Rapid SPORT . The car is painted in the metallic colors Corrida red and Steel grey. This sports car stands confidently and distinctively on 19" light alloy wheels. The front of the car impresses with a spoiler and a massive air intake. Generously sized mudguards and massive door sills underline the exterior appearance of the car. Additional sporty elements are added by the rear of the car with a distinctive bumper and two integrated exhaust tips. The bottom end is a perimeter carbon frame. In the interior, the sporty look continues, for example, in the form of a sports steering wheel, Recaro seats and illuminated door sills.
Skoda also presented the new Octavia Combi with a sports package at Wörthersee. The equipment includes a radiator grille in shimmering black and a red-black front spoiler. The exterior mirrors and roof rails are gloss black, the rear diffuser is red and black. The Octavia Sport-Combi is built on 18" Turini wheels in matt black. The sporty expression in the interior is underlined by red-stitched black sports seats and aluminum pedals.
Skoda Citigo Motorsport also shows pure dynamics. The white color of the car contrasts effectively with the black longitudinal stripes on the engine compartment lid and with the dark glass panoramic roof. The special sports kit includes a front and roof spoiler and a rear diffuser in Deep Black. The exterior mirrors are also painted in this color. When viewed from the front, the decorative black stripe on the lower bumper catches the eye. The Citigo Motorsport is built on 16" alloy wheels, alternatively in white or a black metallic/silver combination. Even in the interior, you can see the sporty focus of the car at first glance.
Performance in a compact package is offered by Skoda Fabia RS Motorsport – Edition UK . The car is painted in Candy white, with black elements added as an interesting contrast. The front headlights are tinted black, the fog lights have black frames. The roof line is finished with a black spoiler. The tinted windows emphasize the sporty character of the car, as do the black and gray racing stripes with the Skoda Motorsport motif affixed to the lower part of the doors. The car is built on 17" light alloy wheels in Gigaro design, alternatively in white or black metallic. The rear is dominated by the centrally located exhaust tip. In the interior, there are Skoda Motorsport inscriptions on the decorative sill plates. The three-spoke leather steering wheel is trimmed in white, as is the leather gear lever head.
A special attraction in Reifnitz is the Skoda Fabia S2000 rally car. It belongs to the most successful cars in the international rally sport. The performance and reliability of the Fabia S2000 laid the foundation for many Skoda competition victories. Thanks to the Fabia S2000, the 2012 season was one of the most successful years in the company's motorsport history. Even in the current season, the Fabia S2000 continues to show its best side with victories in the European Rally Championship and the World Championship in the WRC-2 category.
The 32nd year of the legendary Volkswagen tuning event takes place until Saturday, May 11 . Every year at the beginning of May, up to 200,000 fans of tuning meet at the iconic Volkswagen meeting in Reifnitz, Austria.
