Seat presented a roadster study based on the Ibiza Cupra.

Seat will present a radical open car for maximum driving pleasure at the Wörthersee 2014 meeting. The Seat Ibiza Cupster openly celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Ibiza and brings the pleasure of two cars at once (Cupster = Cupra + roadster).

The two-seater car for driving pleasure has no roof at all . And even the classic front window had to give way to a low, sideways strip of glass. However, the driver and front passenger are well protected thanks to the seating position, which is 80 millimeters lower than that of the production model. The rim of the steering wheel is trimmed with an extremely sophisticated type of leather – aniline leather is fully dyed, without a layer of pigment, so it has open pores and is very supple and wonderful to the touch.

The unique prototype, designed and produced by the Seat design department , shines with New Orange paint, which was specially mixed for it. The interior has a purist spirit and is based on the Ibiza racing cars from the Ibiza Trophy series , which is driven in several European countries. A truly racing atmosphere is created by the minimalist instruments and black Alcantara upholstery on the instrument panel and low-slung racing bucket seats.

The car doesn't suffer from a lack of power either – after all, the Cupster is based on the Ibiza Cupra model . And that means supreme power of 180 hp, provided by the 1.4 TSI engine , extremely fast shifting thanks to the DSG transmission and a precise sports chassis with 18" wheels.
