Seat revealed the three-door Leon

Seat and emotion have always belonged together, and after all, the car company's former slogan "Auto emoción" corresponded to this. Leon , however, lacked that spark for two generations, and only this year, in the third generation, Seat also revealed a coupe version .

It bears the traditional name Sports Coupé (abbreviated SC) and differs from the classic Leon perhaps more than it might seem at first glance. The layman's eye probably won't notice the 35 mm shorter wheelbase , but everyone will surely notice the missing pair of doors. As a result, the front doors were also lengthened to make it easier for rear passengers to get in. The side windows have been redesigned and the rear glass is beveled by 19 degrees compared to the five-door hatchback. The rear lights are also more aggressive, which, like the rear window, lie at a different angle. The interior of the car then corresponds to its larger sibling.

Like the interior , the engines remained unchanged compared to the five-door hatchback. However, the SC will not offer the weakest diesel and gasoline engine, so the 1.2 TSI (105 hp) four-cylinder gasoline engine will serve as the basis, followed by two more units with the same drive – 1.4 TSI (140 hp) and 1.8 TSI (180 hp). For thrifty drivers, there is a pair of TDI engines – 1.6 TDI (105 hp) and 2.0 TDI (150 hp). A sharper version of the Cupra will also be presented before the end of the year, followed by the Cupra R in 2014.

The Leon SC will appear on the UK market in three trim levels – S, SE and FR. We can expect an offer of the classic Leon, Reference, Style and FR versions. It will go on sale after its world premiere at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show .
