The representatives of the brand promised us the Spanish Scout back in January and now they have fulfilled their promise. After the classic hatchback , coupe , station wagon and Cupra, the Seat Leon X-Perience is the next member of the quite numerous Leon family.
You can recognize the X-Perience station wagon at first glance thanks to the 15 mm higher ground clearance and the plastic protection of the mudguards, sills and bumpers. In addition, plastic appears in the front and back, imitating aluminum trim . There are only 17- or 18-inch wheels to choose from, you always get black roof rails , and LED headlights can be purchased for an additional fee. The interior of the cheaper versions is dominated by fabric upholstery in a combination of black and gray , but if you pay extra, you can choose upholstery in brown Alcantara or black leather . In both cases there is stitching with orange thread and the car logo on the door sills and steering wheel.
On the technical side, the "off-road" Leon uses permanent all-wheel drive using the fifth generation Haldex multi-plate clutch , found at the end of the drive shaft, in front of the rear differential. Under normal conditions, it sends most of the power to the front axle, but when traction is lost, it can transfer the power equally to the rear axle within a few milliseconds. Under the hood can only be a single 1.8 TSI petrol engine with a capacity of 180 hp and a torque of 280 Nm, a trio of 1.6-liter TDI diesel engines with a capacity of 110 hp and a torque of 250 Nm or a 2.0 liter with a capacity of 150 hp and a torque of 320 Nm, respectively 184 hp and 380 Nm. The only petrol engine and the most powerful diesel engine work with a six-speed DSG automatic as standard, the other engines have a six-speed manual as standard and a DSG automatic is available for them at an extra cost.
