Seat Ibiza Cupra 2013 – Revealed look and complete information

The Spanish automaker Seat revealed the modernized Seat Ibiza Cupra model for 2013. Its price will start at 18,825 pounds (approximately 594,000 crowns). We were able to see the Ibiza Cupra concept study for the first time in April this year, and as you can see, the manufacturer decided to send the sporty Ibiza to production after a facelift.

The design of the Ibiza Cupra has not changed much and is almost identical to the concept. The modernized sports hatchback boasts redesigned front and rear LED lights, gloss black side mirrors, a modified grille and 17" wheels. The cabin has received a newer and more cozy design, in which we can find, for example, a sports steering wheel with gear shift paddles or sports seats that are available with optional two-tone leather upholstery.

Under the hood, the 1.4-liter four- cylinder TSI gasoline engine with 180 hp and 250 Nm of torque is still offered. Engine power will be transmitted via a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission to the front axle. According to the car company, the acceleration from 0-100 km/h should take place in 6.9 seconds and the maximum speed will reach 228 km/h. An interesting piece of information is that even with these excellent parameters, we can count on a consumption of 5.8 l/100 km.

Compared to the standard version of the Seat Ibiza , the ground clearance of the Cupra variant has been reduced by a few millimeters. Furthermore, we find here the reinforced AR Performance brake system, which includes larger brake discs and pads with better intensity. The Ibiza Cupra will be equipped with an XDS electronic differential lock, which reduces the tendency to understeer and also improves the handling of the car during fast cornering maneuvers. The ESP stabilization system and the Hill Start Assist system are a matter of course.
