Renault Twingo and R5 in the photo gallery

You could already see the new Renault Twingo here from all sides and angles . And now Renault has decided to present it alongside the classic R5 model. And editors from Autoexpress were also invited to shoot this set of photos. It was the Renault 5 that was the main source of inspiration for the designer Csaba Wittinger when designing the new Twingo. When Wittinger joined the team, all that was known was that the Twingo would be rear-engined and rear-wheel drive. It is somewhat reminiscent of the R5 Turbo and Clio V6 models. The slope of the rear part and the shape of the rear pillars are supposed to resemble the classic R5. For example, the air intake holes disappeared from the car during the design, as the cooling system was still being reworked. The only remains of them are on the bumper next to the place for the license plate. Despite the car being photographed, Wittinger claims that the white color suits the new Twingo best. We just remind you that he was previously responsible for the design of Dacia cars.
