Renault Lutecia Initiale Paris – leftovers for Japan

Japan is traditionally a bastion of domestic car manufacturers. Nevertheless, a large number of foreign brands are also trying it on the local market. Renault is one of them. He is now launching the Lutecia Initiale Paris model on the Japanese market, which is none other than the old familiar Clio of the third generation in luxury equipment!

However, in order not to make a mistake right at the beginning! Originally, the Lutecia Initiale Paris was not even supposed to make it to Japan, but Renault experienced a bad economic year in Britain and the predetermined quota of Initiale Paris -badged models was not sold in that market. And due to the right-hand drive, there was nothing easier than moving the model to Japan.

The equipment of the highest version does not lack automatic air conditioning, a complete set of airbags, keyless entry, stability control or parking sensors. We don't know the exact price, but the automaker says it will be lower than the version sold in Britain. Under the hood is a 1.6 16V unit with a power of 110 horsepower , which works with a four-speed automatic.

It remains to be seen if the automaker will release "unwanted" models in Japan, but I personally don't hold out much hope for success…
