Renault Twizy ranks among the best-selling cars in the electric car segment. We can only speculate what it is – good marketing, interesting price, usability or just giving these cars away for free with the bigger models of the brand. In any case, success must be taken advantage of, which is why today we can welcome the absurd delivery of Twizy Cargo .
The whole joke of the Cargo consists in removing the rear seat, where there is a storage space with a capacity of 180 liters and a load capacity of 75 kg. The "trunk" is protected by a lockable door that opens to an angle of 90 degrees, which increases the safety as well as the usability of the stroller. Renault considers the main target group of customers to be small businesses , post offices or restaurants that offer home delivery of food.
One of the two electric motors can take care of the drive. The weaker one, in the Twizy Cargo 45 version, has a power of only 5 horsepower and a maximum speed limited to 45 km/h. The range of such a car is approximately 120 kilometers. If you want more power, you choose the Twizy Cargo version, whose electric motor has a power of 17 hp and the maximum speed increases to 80 km/h. However, the range will be reduced – only about 100 km.
The basic price of the Twizy Cargo is 8,080 euros (approx. 209,000 CZK) for version 45. The stronger model is 700 euros (approx. 18,000 CZK) more expensive. However, the price does not include the monthly rental of the battery , which costs 50 euros (approx. 1300 CZK).
